Create a powerful brand which is financially backed by over a billion dollars, while at the same time allowing the laid back vibe of Santa Cruz to shine through. Mavericks Renewable Energy finances and develops renewable energy projects focused on Smart Micro-grids and Distributed Energy Resources.
SOLUTION
Mavericks CEO, Bill Shevlin came to me with only a photo of a sweet barrel wave taken at the world famous surf spot, Mavericks near Pillar Point, Half Moon Bay, California—A place where I used to camp out as a teenager. I was inspired to create a clean modern mark, with colors that reflected the Pacific Ocean and a modern logotype that mirrors the powerful and forward thinking solutions which Mavericks Renewable Energy brings.
